Editor's Take
By the Pogglo editorsWatercolor softness on the surface, spikes and lava underneath — a fan-made platform adventure with a meal waiting at every finish line.
ちいかわの小さな冒険 is an unofficial fan adventure that borrows Chiikawa's gentle watercolor mood and then, very politely, starts throwing hazards at you. Across nine levels you climb ladders, dodge spikes, flying rocks and lava, and pad out a little party as you go — companions you recruit each bring their own ability, and swapping between them mid-level is where the light puzzle-solving lives. Coins matter too, in the most character-true way possible: gather enough and you can buy a proper meal at the end of a stage.
The toolkit grows with the danger — a melee swing, an unlockable ranged light wave, a jump that doubles as a stomp — until the run tops out at a three-phase final boss that asks for everything the previous eight levels taught you. It plays free in the browser on desktop or phone, with touch controls built in, and if this blend of cute and perilous is your pace, our adventure games have more of it.
