Editor's Take
By the Pogglo editorsMine carts on floating rails above the clouds — part driving game, part playground you learn one track at a time.
The rails up here do not touch the ground. Rail in the Air strings its tracks across open sky, hands you a mine cart, and makes one thing very clear: the challenge is finishing each floating stage without falling off the edge of it. It is a bright, playful 3D take on rail riding, closer to an aerial obstacle course than a train sim.
What keeps it from being a one-note balance test is how much you are allowed to poke around. Multiple tracks are open to explore, you can hop between different carts mid-adventure, and a map screen plus a teleport key mean a wrong turn never strands you. Checkpoints take the sting out of a plunge, which frees you to treat each stage as something to learn rather than something to survive on the first try.
On desktop it is WASD or arrows with a handful of tidy hotkeys — E to interact, C for carts, M for the map, R to reset — while touchscreens get their own controls, and the game ships in multiple languages besides. If steering things at speed is your idea of fun, the rest of our driving games run on solid ground.
