Nobody is coming to rescue you in VOID SURVIVOR. The premise is stripped to its wiring: a lone white orb drifts through the ruins of the void, firing automatically at whatever it locks onto, while dark polyhedra swarm in from every side. Your job is not to aim — the orb handles that — it is to outlast the geometry closing in.

The heartbeat of a run arrives every sixty seconds, when the game deals you three upgrades and lets you keep one. Multishot, piercing rounds, chain lightning, area blasts — each pick bends your loadout in a different direction, and a few waves later you are watching the consequences ripple outward as your combo climbs, the debris cloud spins faster, and shockwaves tear across the dark.

It starts instantly and asks only one thing of you first: put headphones on. The engine hum and blast roar are half the atmosphere, and they make the game’s single question — how long can you last? — feel considerably less rhetorical.
